Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Craig Thomas Gallery is pleased to announce the tenth iteration of our annual gallery anniversary group exhibition of Vietnamese painters and sculptors entitled Ten-acious CTG which will open at our Saigon gallery on 21 June from 6-9pm

Every summer, CTG asks a group of our favorite Vietnamese visual artists to create new works for an exhibition to mark the anniversary of the gallery’s founding in 2009. The show serves as a platform to introduce both established and emerging artists whose solo collections will be gracing the gallery’s walls and floors during the coming calendar year. Our anniversary shows are also an opportunity to express our thanks to all of you who have supported the gallery over the years. We are also happy to say that many artists will be flying in from other cities around the country to attend the exhibition and meet and greet you all.

Ten-acious CTG is a special iteration of our annual tradition as it marks ten years since the gallery first opened the doors at our Tran Nhat Duat location. The title for the show reflects in part the spirit that we believe is required to navigate the task of showing the most compelling art possible while also endeavoring to operate a commercial gallery in a still emerging art environment. In doing so, we mimic on a prosaic level the more poetic and difficult struggle that our artists face as they seek to personally thrive while pursuing their artistic practices and continually delight us lesser mortals with the results of their creative efforts.
